SOMETHING ABOUT US...

An introduction to Cristina and LIGWE

With a rich history spanning sixteen years in consultancy, including a several-years tenure as the Director/owner of own businesses, our founder and Managing Director, Cristina Vanella (CMIOSH CMAPS) honed her expertise in the intricate realm of Risk Management focused on Health, Safety, Wellbeing. Her focus has been on complex infrastructure projects, with notable ventures including the likes of Olympic Park, Crossrail, Lower Thames Crossing and Parliament Restoration Programme. But that’s not all, our Director’s unique selling points sets her apart in the field.

Firstly, her qualifications speak to her commitment to excellence, with an LL.B. Degree in Laws with Honors, a B.A. Degree in Business with a minor in International Strategic Management, and certifications in Construction Health, Safety and Wellbeing as well as Lead ISO Auditor.

Secondly, her skills and experience go beyond the typical wellbeing in the workplace. She has self-drive and qualified as a Cognitive Behavioral Hypnotherapist in 2015 at the Kent College of Hypnotherapy with the purpose of having additional skills to encourage people taking control of their own emotions, envisaging that will lead to workers and staff being more mindful, fresh and focused at work and home, and that way eliminate or reduce the risk of accidents. Cristina also qualified with a Past Life Therapy Diploma in 2015, and she is currently undergoing the final stages of Family Constellations training.

Beyond this, her multilingual and multicultural background—fluent in Spanish, English, Italian, and Mandarin Chinese—has equipped her to thrive in diverse global environments. With international experience spanning Latin America, Asia, Europe, and the U.K., Cristina is setting the direction, pulse and expertise to tackle new challenges worldwide.

That is how Cristina created LIGWE Wellbeing, to help people to feel better and live a safer life. LIGWE may well be the place you have been searching for. Here we are, to run this journey of exploration with you.

LIGWE* means Spirit in Quechua, the language of the Andean Incas, the land were Cristina was born.

*Research on Quechua language from “Resonances of the light in the central and south Andean languages” (Moulian, Catrileo, Hasler, Caniguan, 2017, Pontifical Catholic University of Chile).

Our Mission, Vision and Goals

Vision: The global transformation into a happier life

Mission: Influence people to pay attention to our thoughts and behaviours

Goals: Contribute to client’s wellbeing; transfer our skills; leave a legacy.

This is how we work

At LIGWE, we are committed to match the guest to the local offerings and we would like the user(s) to share our vision and social responsibilities. We are not perfect, but we are working to:

  • Giving you a sense of community: You come to us for experiences that are authentic and sustainable over time, so we want to collaborate with small, medium and large local suppliers to give you a gist of reality, introducing you to the culture, local values, and rural or autochthonous minorities where permitted.
  • Supporting local employment: We want to support the development of new local businesses and adhere to industry and public policy about inbound tourism for the local to improve their wealth and purchasing power, making of tourism a fair business for all.
  • Taking care of the environment: Stats show that tourism alone is responsible for 5% of the global carbon emissions with an increasing trend up to 25% by 2030*, of which transport represents the 75% of that pollution. Hence, we aim to propose transport that assist the reduction of carbon emissions and contain the environmental impact where possible. We welcome your contribution by minimising waste and augmenting the recycling of disposables.
  • Making sustainable choices: We endeavour for our work and your experience to result in an enjoyable product. At the same time we want to promote the local enjoyment and help preserving landscapes, nature and biodiversity; help maintain natural resources like water and energy; regenerating towns by promoting work; and sustaining a dignified, healthy and prosperous life for present and future resident generations.
  • Seeking healthy, safe, and happy experiences: Everybody is responsible for their own health, safety and wellbeing. Although we plan for the low-risk activities, we require you to be alert at all times especially when travelling with children. Please, follow the local legislation, rules and arrangements everywhere you go. Please, help us promote social values of integrating diversity groups and respecting people with physical or mental challenges.
  • By using this website and our services from the UK or abroad you agree to be governed by and rights and obligations construed in accordance with the Laws of England and Wales.
